About

This digital manuscript editing workshop, held at Columbia University’s Butler Library, is a spin-off from the Yale University Digital Rolls and Fragments project, and will result in a digital edition hosted on their website.

The goal of this project is to teach participants the basics of digital editing and TEI encoding while producing a collaborative digital edition of a roll in the collection of Columbia University’s Rare Book and Manuscript Library, Plimpton Add. MS 04, one of the Middle English versions of the Fifteen Oes of St. Bridget.

The organizers wish to extend their thanks to Consuelo Dutschke, Terry Catapano, Sean Quimby, the Columbia University Rare Book and Manuscript Library, Professor Christopher Baswell, and to the Yale DEMMR project coordinators for their assistance and support.
